Inner Feng Shui

Are there any sharp edges or dark corners within you? Do you feel “edgy,” irritated, or cornered in some way? Once you’ve identified an inner “poison arrow,” soften and disarm it with inner compassion and forgiveness. Let go of any hard and fast position, and consider positive outcomes where everyone wins. Dissolve edginess with “soft” activities such as soaking in a hot bath, relaxing by a warm fire, or taking a walk in nature. Know that you can always balance inner-cutting Ch’i by doing something for yourself that is nurturing and kind.

It is your true nature to appreciate your mind and heart, your body and spirit, animals and people, angels and atoms, everyone and everything, as essentially equal, all with their unique gifts to give.  Your life transforms when you stop dissecting everything and labeling the pieces as more or less deserving of dignity and care. What a waste of time and energy that is, when you can simply cherish all of Creation as it is. The Way is inclusive, not exclusive. Your heart and mind are meant to be lovers, not enemies. The Ch’i in Everything Is Always Changing: We witness change all the time in our bodies, relationships, energy level, state of mind, emotions, and in nature. The one constant in our physical universe is change. In Feng Shui, we accept change as a gift. We make friends with it. We embrace and invite change to continually make our lives better. Treasure the blessings inherent in every moment. Celebrate the ever-unfolding love affair between your spirit and flesh. Let your imagination soar, gather what was once unimaginable, and return ecstatic. Invite your creative genius to shape every moment. Be gracious to your body and offer her what she asks for – a walk in the sunshine, a rest in the middle of the day, a favorite flavor. Infuse being into doing. It’s more than taking the time to smell the roses; it’s taking the time to sink fully into the mystery of the roses, and all of life. Make this your daily practice. Your kind attendance to your inner and outer worlds – your whole being – restores your heart and calls forth the full expression of who you are.
