Essential Stories: A New Compass

Posted by on May 9, 2014 in Bagua, Career & Business, Compass Feng Shui, Essential Stories, Relationship Tips, Your Career | Comments Off on Essential Stories: A New Compass

Hello WSFS!

I’m happy to report that A. found a job!  It came about through a series of “coincidences” shortly after we changed the photograph in the bathroom from the sailboat to the anchor, and installed the compass in the career area!

I initially thought it took longer than I expected but after talking with A. about how he found this job I came to realize that the process actually began right after we implemented the changes to the Career area.

Things had seemed to be going slowly after the Career area changes so I made additional tweaks in the Helpful People area (added the statue of an angel) and changed the color of a candle in the Prosperity area to purple.  I also swapped out a plant for a fountain on a part of the balcony that sits in the Prosperity area.

Q&A – Which color should I paint my front door?

Posted by on Mar 31, 2014 in Bagua, Q & A, Terah | Comments Off on Q&A – Which color should I paint my front door?

Q. Hello!

What color should I paint my front door? It’s at the southeast, could I use a different color inside or does it have to be the same? I stood with my back to the door standing outside to get this information, was this the right way? My back door is to northwest. Which color would be the best? Thank you so much for your help.

Janet from Puerto Rico

A. Hi Janet,

Our School teaches Form Feng Shui and you are referring to Compass Feng Shui. I would advise you to paint your doors the color/s that are your absolute favorite and that make your heart sing every time you see them. This lifts your energy every day and enhances your vitality, happiness, creativity, and productivity. Our approach focuses on your individual preferences rather than a generic formula.

Enjoy choosing Colors that you LOVE!

With Every Blessing,

Terah Kathryn Collins

Essential Feng Shui Tips: The Center of the Bagua Map

The Bagua Map: The Center

The center of your house is considered the hub around which the wheel of life turns. The element of Earth finds a home here, symbolizing the importance of arranging your life so that it flows around a solid, grounded base. When there is space in the center of a home, it’s an excellent location for a courtyard, atrium, or a collection of potted plants. It’s the perfect place for things associated with the Earth element, such as tile, ceramic, yellow, or earth-toned items, as well as the place to display art and images that keep you centered and connected through life’s many changes.

Bach Flowers and The BaGua

Bach Flowers (pronounced Batch) heal from the inside out. They work at the invisible level of energy and transform a negative condition into a positive one.  If you’re an old-hand at Bach Flower Remedies you will understand this concept right away. If you’re new to the remedies, maybe the explanation ahead will help you.

Decades ago I became interested in the Bach Flower Remedies because I liked how I responded to Rescue Remedy – the Big Daddy of the remedy collection. Rescue Remedy was my go-to potion when I was under stress or facing a challenge. It worked so well for me, and changed my pent-up anxiety into such a calm front, that I bought a book so I could learn more.

Q & A – Feng Shui for Southern Hemisphere

Posted by on Mar 23, 2013 in Bagua, Ch'i, Feng Shui Definition, Nature & Eco-Tips, Q & A, Your Home | Comments Off on Q & A – Feng Shui for Southern Hemisphere

Q. I have been reading Terah Kathryn Collins’ books and find they cover a lot of information regarding Feng Shui. There is one thing that is not covered and I am a bit stuck with applying the Bagua Map without the answer. I have heard from some people that you need to reverse the Bagua Map for the Southern Hemisphere, I live in Australia so I am looking for the answer to this question. There are so many different view points regarding this so I was hoping to obtain Terah’s view point.

– Thanks, Mate.

A. No reversal needed! You can apply the Bagua Map as you see it in my books in whatever hemisphere you are in. Like gravity, Ch’i flow applies the same throughout our entire world. Enjoy!!

– Terah
