Essential Feng Shui Tips: Cover Bathroom Drains
Begin by keeping the drains closed when not in use. Although especially important with the toilet because of its large opening, all drains can pull the Ch’i down to some extent. Close the sink, shower, and bathtub stoppers when you’re not using them, or cover them with small rubber mats.
My best Essential Feng Shui story is of a client who started faithfully closing his toilet lid, AND the bathroom door whose opening allowed it to be seen too prominently in the living room. One week later he received a check for $3000 from an uncle, whose only reason for the gift was “This just seemed like a good time to give you this.” In Feng Shui, the flow of water is related to the flow of money, and when we stop its apparent draining away, visually, we begin to contain it better in our lives!
Thank you for this.. I had read something similar before but never thought to close the bathroom door!
Oops! Just read the top part.. I’d never thought of using the plugs either to cover the drains. I have a bath board over my bath and use a mat for the floor..
