Q & A – Bathroom in the Center
Q. Our bathrooms are located in the center of the house, do you have any recommendations for us on fixing that up? Thanks for any help you can give and thanks for your Room by Room book, I enjoyed it so much. —Lee S.
A. Hi Lee,
No matter where a bathroom is located, it provides an opportunity to balance the Water element, which is found on page 53 in The Western Guide to Feng Shui, Room by Room. The Wood element is great because it drinks up excess Water, while the Earth element helps to contain it. This means the colors of blue, green, and yellow are all possibilities, floral motifs of all kinds, ceramic tiles in earthtones, and art that is particularly beautiful to keep the Ch’i buoyant and flowing in the space. A bath in the center of the house can be especially enhanced by yellow or earthtone walls and decor, as the center is directly related to the Earth element.
Enjoy all of your fabulous Feng Shui adventures!
