Taking Time
I’m finding that the most ordinary moments can be extraordinary when I take my time. If I plunk fruit into a bowl too fast, I miss so much. In taking the time to really touch and arrange them, I can imagine the leafy light of their birthplace, anticipate the taste of their essence, and enjoy the colors and shapes of their stories. It’s so simple and deeply rewarding, and all it takes is a shift from haste to embrace. My embrace of the most ordinary moment – cooking, dressing, walking – engages both heart and hands, setting the magical dance of life into motion. If I never rush again, I’ve already rushed too much. When I waltz with time, I am in Heaven on earth!
This is so incredibly beautiful…..taking time to align with your food…to make food your friend…now wonder you are so slender and beautiful, Terah….this is truly inspired from your Inner Being (as Abraham would say!). Keep it up girlfriend!! You inspire us ALL!
Lovin’ you large,
Max
